Are you a cat lover who can’t get enough cat in your life?  Do you wish you could spend more time with cats but can’t adopt now?  Or do you just want to help out the homeless cats in our community?  Becoming a Tiny Lions Lounge & Adoption Center Volunteer could be for you.

For adults (Ages 18+)

Volunteering here will have you interacting with animals—cats and humans alike—providing excellent customer service and helping keep the operation flowing.  When you help out, you'll enjoy the bright, clean space, the company of over a dozen cats, and the satisfaction you’ve helped needy animals in your community.

Volunteering at Tiny Lions has a one-time, non-refundable program fee of $45, which includes your volunteer T-shirt and nametag, training and educational opportunities, and access to our online resource library. This fee helps offset the costs of supplies and allows us to direct more money toward the care of our animals. If the fee is a financial strain, please do not worry; We still want you to join our team! Simply call (734) 661-3517 or email volunteers@hshv.org to discuss having the fee waived.

For Youth ages 12-17

Through the Tiny Lions Junior Volunteer program, those age 12-17 have the opportunity to learn more about animal welfare, work with adoptable cats and form new friendships with others their age. The sessions consist of humane education activities, mentoring and training by humane education staff and volunteers, and hands-on volunteer time to give back to the homeless animals in our care.  Though this program is so much more than volunteering, JV's receive volunteer hours for their work, which can be used towards required community service hours. Please note: The JV program at Tiny Lions will prepare youth to volunteer exclusively at Tiny Lions. For those interested in volunteering at our main shelter, please take a look at our HSHV Junior Volunteer program.
