How much time do you spend reading before making a decision?

I used to rely mostly on forum comments because it was quicker than reading long articles. After a while I realized that people often give completely opposite advice, which just made things more confusing. Now I try to spend a little extra time looking at different sources before I make up my mind. It doesn’t mean I trust everything I read, but having more background helps me understand the topic a lot better and makes it easier to separate useful information from random opinions.

I do pretty much the same. If I want a better understanding of something, I usually start with a simple guide instead of scrolling through endless comments. One page I found useful is https://www.ecbt.org/news/hgh-dosage-iu-bodybuilding/. That’s just one of the places I check before reading forum discussions. I like that it explains why there isn’t one number that works for everyone and that things like goals, body size, and experience can make a difference. After that, I compare it with what people share from their own experience instead of relying on just one opinion.
